Barrack Obama sends a message to Nigerians

The United Nation's President, Barrak Obama sent a message to Nigerians, telling them to stand up against violence, to express their views peacefully during the upcoming election. He transfered this message through a video recording posted on Youtube today by US Embassy Nigeria.

The Minister for Petroleum's brother gets kidnapped

Just exactly 5 months ago, the Petroleum Minister Mrs Alison Madueke's sister Osiyo Agama was kidnapped, now the younger brother, Joseph Agama has been taking away in a forceful act called kidnap. He was kidnapped by some unknown gunmen in Bayelsa state today. Confirming this, the spokesperson to the Bayelsa state Police command, Asinim Butswat said the incident happened at about 12.30am today.
The kidnappers rode in a speedboat, stormed Yenaka Community, a coastal settlement in Yenagoa LGA around 12.30am and forcefully abducted Mr Agama.
Nothing has really been heard from the kidnappers any way, either requesting for funds or any thing

In their gestures, I perceived a longing for the days when honour, national pride and dignity of labour were the fundamental social principles that governed ourcountry. As I encountered millions of our youths, who sometimes run for hours in front of my car and hanging precariously on our campaign vehicles at our state rallies, I also pondered the enormity of the task ahead. How do we give jobs to our youth? How do we reform our economy and make it work for every Nigerian? 
I know however, that what we require to revamp our economy and rebuild our country isour ability to galvanize all our citizens to believe once again in their government, in their country and especially, to believe in themselves. This can only happen if we are ableto rebuild the trust and belief that our people used to have in government, and indeed, in ournation. The leadership that I will provide will bebuilt on this critical awareness. I intend to lead with integrity and honour and commit myself totally to everything that is of concern to our people: security, employment, health, education, good governance and others.
This Covenant is to outline my agenda for Nigeria and provide a bird’s eye view of how weintend to bring about the change that our country needs and deserves. This Covenant is derived from the manifesto of my party, the AllProgressives Congress (APC). It however, represents my pledge to you all when I becomeyour President.
I have no doubt that God being on our side, with the abiding support of all Nigerians, we shall all witness the great change that we desireand achieve the Nigeria of our dream.

NURTW Chairman has been shot dead

Some unidentified gunmen have killed the
Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport
Workers (NURTW), Yaba Unit, Mr Babajide
Dosunmu, who is also known as Mados in the Oyingbo area of
Lagos State, so Punch reports.
Previously, the former Vice Chairman, Lagos Mainland
branch of the same NURTW association, was reportedly shot
dead at the back of his house by assassins
while parking his car around 8pm on Tuesday. He was said to have fell down by a bullet that
met him in the leg when he attempted to escape, but unfortunately not done, one of the gang boys shot
him in the buttock, while another bullet
pierced his heart region, leaving him fully blooded.
The incident created panic in the area as all
commercial activities in the Oyingbo area were
partly grounded as of 1pm on Wednesday.
Mados was said to have been rushed to a
nearby hospital, but was declared dead on
arrival.

The South African rapper, Flabba has been stabbed to death

The popularly known South African rapper and also a member of a rap group called Skwatta Kamp. Mr Nkululeko Habedi who is also known as Flabba in the photo below died after he was stabbed to death in Alexandra, Johannesburg this morning March 9th.
According to the spokesperson of the SouthAfrican police, his girlfriend has been arrested in connection with his death. The motive behind the stabbing is not yet known but investigations into the matter is ongoing.
