The Dubai Marina Torch, an 86-storey building which stands at 1,105 ft, was consumed by fire in the early hours of today forcing a mass evacuation. According to reports, the fire started around the 52nd floor then to the lower parts of the building. But thousands of residents were rescued from the high rise but it it took more than a dozen fire trucks to extinguish the fire.
Authorities, including the press disclosed that there were no reports of deaths or injuries from the Marina Torch fire and the cause of the fire is not immediately clear. See photos from the incident :
