Legendary Yvonne Ntombizodwa Moloko Machaka also known as Yvonne Chaka Chaka, has given a special shout out to D’banj as he kicks off his 10th year anniversary celebrations in Lagos today, January 31, 2015.
In a 15-second Instagram video, the South African veteran singer said: ‘D’banj my son, this is mama, you didn’t invite me but I invited myself. 10 years in the music industry, you’ve gone a long way to come after me. I’m 30 years in the music industry, but you know what, Africa loves you.’Chaka Chaka, who likes to be called the princess of African music, started singing at the age of 19 in 1985whenPhil Hollisof Dephon Records discovered her in Johannesburg and has become a household name since the late 80s and early 90s.

Davido drops new single: The Sound

The multiple awards winner and a Close Up ambassador, HKN boss, Davido; has dropped his first single in 2015.The new tune is titled ‘The Sound’ and features a South Africa's act Uhuru and Dj Buckz from Dubai. Davido dropped it late late yesterday, January 30, 2015 along with a new video directed by Sesan Ogunro.
‘The Sound’ was co-produced by Uhuru and Shizzi, and it officially kicks off the countdown to the release of the self-styled O.B.O’s sophomore album in a few months.
